Dr Patrick Chung is an adult psychiatrist with extensive clinical experience across metropolitan and rural Australia, working in both public mental health services and private practice. His broad exposure to different communities, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds has shaped a practice grounded in respect, curiosity, and cultural sensitivity.

Training and professional background

Dr Chung completed his medical degree at Griffith University before undertaking specialist psychiatry training, achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). He further advanced his expertise by completing a Certificate in Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry, equipping him to work at the interface of physical and mental health.

His training across major hospitals and community settings has given him a deep understanding of complex psychiatric presentations, medical comorbidities, and the unique needs of patients navigating both mental and physical health challenges.

As a consultation‑liaison psychiatrist, he also has specialised expertise in:
