Dr Alys Swindlehurst will be offering in‑person and telehealth appointments from June 2026.
Dr Alys Swindlehurst is a highly experienced paediatrician based in New South Wales, with over two decades of clinical expertise. She completed her medical degree at the University of Leicester (UK) in 1998 and undertook specialist paediatric training across both the United Kingdom and Australia. She holds Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Her international training and broad clinical exposure have shaped a practice grounded in excellence, compassion, and a deep understanding of child and adolescent health.
Dr Swindlehurst currently serves as the Head of Paediatrics at Sutherland Hospital, where she leads a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high‑quality, family‑centred care. She also holds the role of Medical Director of the Paediatric Stream for South East Sydney Local Health District, contributing to service development, clinical governance, and paediatric health policy across the region.
Her commitment to advancing paediatric medicine extends to education. She is an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), supporting the next generation of paediatricians and medical students.
